THE CIRCLE OF ELDERS

This recently formed group has attracted a large number of self-selected members—self-selected in the sense that no particular age has been specified for its membership. During its first three meetings, the group has produced a Covenant that conveys its purpose, ending with the agreement that “each of us is the group.” A long list of proposed discussion topics was also produced and the topic for the next meeting is chosen from those topics by vote.

Although the group was organized and is led jointly by Diana List Cullen and Phœbe Hoss, the conversation has been free flowing and largely undirected. The group clearly fills a need and an outlet for expression to those who have been attending the meetings. It was agreed at the last meeting that future meetings would be held on the first and third Thursday of each month from 2:00PM to 4:00PM in the Ware Room. Tea and cookies are served.
