THE YOUNG ADULTS

—by Katherine MacKenzie

The Young Adult Group had a busy winter of activities to start off 2002. They went ice-skating in February and had a successful Potluck Dinner in March. Their prime event in March was a theatre party to the play Back to Basics: An Evening of Scenes at the Trilogy Theatre, in which Scott Will played a role. Aside from these social events, Young Adults, with members ranging in age from 18 to 35, and currently led by Young Adult Coordinator Amy Strano, meet regularly at bi-monthly Circle Worships.

What does it mean to sacrifice? What are our dreams, our nightmares, and what meaning can we find in them? These are just a few of the topics discussed at Circle Worships. While many young adults attend the group-sponsored potlucks, brunches, and excursions to plays and museums, Circle Worships are a regular time to bond together, affirming both the spiritual and social elements of our faith.
