EDITORS CORNERThis summer issue covers the happenings at All Souls for a period of five months rather than the usual three. It is also the major vehicle for informing the congregation about the events at the June 2002 General Assembly of the UUA. This yearŐs GA article is a blend of the recollections of ten of our 29 delegates. We continue trying to keep you up to date on the varied activities in which our ministers are engaged beyond their work here at the churchas well as trying to highlight special achievements by members of the congregation. The article about the Flaming Chalice lays the groundwork for another attempt by the Denominational Affairs Committee to gauge interest in this matter by the Congregation. And in a few brief reports, the article "In the News at All Souls" tries to capture a sampling of some of the events that transpired during the late Spring and Summer. The feeding services and the work of many of the Task Forces also continued to function during July and August. This has been a very hot summer and yet an astonishing number of people braved the heat in our un-air-conditioned sanctuary to attend Sunday servicesincluding many visitors. By the time this publication reaches you, All Souls will already be fully engaged in all of the events, services and programs that bind us together as a functioning community. Marietta Moskin   In future issues of the Quarterly, we would like to highlight special achievements in the lives of our members: books, articles, awards, performances, etc. Please let us know about your recent achievements, creative or otherwise.
