ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY

Every year on Anniversary Sunday, for many years, the Deacons have hosted a party for members who have been part of the All Souls congregation for 25 years or longer. This year, the Deacons decided to honor several specific groups of longtime members in order to demonstrate how many members have been around for more than 20 years, recognizing members who had joined 20, 30, 40 and 50 years ago both during the service and at a luncheon following Coffee Hour. It was a lovely event marked with flowers and buttons, but members who joined during the in-between years felt left out. The Deacons committee responsible for the festive celebration is going back to the drawing board for next year to make sure that each and every member who joined 20 years or more ago will be clearly acknowledged both during the services and at the party afterwards.
