EDITORS CORNERThese first three months of 2005 have been busy ones for everyone at All Souls involved in various international concerns. The Tsunami in Asia, the worries about nuclear proliferation and matters of war and peace have launched a profusion of events sponsored by our various advocacy groups, particularly the Peace Task Force. These events made us almost forget that domestic problems are growing too: our feeding programs keep expanding, including the needs at the Yorkville Common Pantry, which we support. Luckily, the February Auction successfully raised another record amount of money to keep our outreach programs in action. The 30s/40s Fellowship turned its attention to domestic housing needs by volunteering through the Habitat for Humanity in conjunction with the new All Souls Housing Task Force. Our social and educational needs were sustained this first Quarter through activities sponsored by the Women’s Alliance, Lifescapes, the Historical Society, the Navigators as well as the popular Sunday Adult Education Programs on Dante and Eliot in January through March, and holiday celebrations such as the Chinese New Year. —Marietta Moskin In future issues of the Quarterly, we would like to highlight special achievements in the lives of our members: books, articles, awards, performances, etc. Please let us know about your recent achievements, creative or otherwise.
