This has been an active spring and summer for All Souls. With our ever growing membership, the demand for summer programs has been growing and many groups have responded to those needs. Both the Young Adult and Thirties/Forties groups are presenting full rosters of activities for each Spring and Summer week for their members, and the Women’s Alliance too, has offered a number of special outings that are open to everyone. The feeding services continue all year and programs like Stories With Soul and Cinema All Souls do not stop for the summer. Outreach and Advocacy groups have been busy too. Members of our delegation to the UU General Assembly are now back from their trip to Portland Oregon and are preparing their observations of GA which will be reported in our September issue.

All this is going on while the Church Office on the second floor is being reconstructed to create more efficient office spaces for Forrest, Galen and Cheryl and providing space for the new Development Director (still to be hired)—all this while maintaining workspaces for Annie Gorycki and other staff members to continue their important work. To this end, boxes and boxes of materials have been sent upstairs to the Archives Room while ministers and staff are squeezed together in the Wiggin House front office spaces. Hats off to all of them for managing to do their work efficiently under these chaotic conditions!.
