Heart and Soul Community Outreach Partners
The Heart and Soul Charitable Fund supports many programs, housed both here at All Souls and around our neighborhood, to support those in need in our community. The programs provide numerous volunteer opportunities. Click here to learn more about these groups.
Serve All Souls
Members staff our weekly Coffee Hour Book Table, which features All Souls affiliated authors and musicians as well as contemporary publications on themes of religion, politics and theology.
THE CARING TEAM
The Caring Team (formerly Friends in Deed) ensures ongoing connection with the All Souls family when for an extended period of time a member of our congregation can’t attend church or other activities which bring us together as a community.
THE COMMUNITY BUILDING (CB TEAM)
The CB Team from the All Souls Young Adults group cares for, consoles, recognizes, celebrates, and uplifts young adults and friends of the group in periods of life change.
THE DEACONS OF ALL SOULS
The Deacons are an elected group of long-standing members—senior not so much in the sense of age, but by dint of their participation in the affairs of All Souls.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (RE) PROGRAM VOLUNTEERS

USHERS, GREETERS AND WELCOMERS
Ushers greet visitors, distribute Orders of Service, assist with seating and receive the offering.
Serve THE WORLD
The Advocacy Coalition is a coalition of congregational groups with a social justice mission, working to organize and support cohesive action by member groups. The current focus of the Advocacy Coalition is the Racial Justice Initiative.
We urge you to investigate the many ways to keep up with and get involved in Unitarian Universalism beyond All Souls.
DIVERSITY TASK FORCE
Working with the congregation and staff to answer the call to “Deepen Our Capacity for Diversity at All Souls,” the Diversity Task Force is a committed group of All Souls members with diversity in age, race, sexual orientation, religious background, language and culture who collaborate with other justice groups.
Ethical Eating promotes sustainable agriculture through conscious food choices.
Interweave-LGBT is an alliance of bisexuals, gays, lesbians and transgender persons and their heterosexual friends at The Unitarian Church of All Souls in New York City.
THE NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT TASK FORCE
The Nuclear Disarmament Task Force provides education and advocacy around nuclear non-proliferation.
PEACE AND JUSTICE TASK FORCE
The Peace and Justice Task Force is a discussion and action group and information source for members who are concerned about immediate threats of war as well as exploring ways to work toward lasting global peace.
UNITARIAN UNIVERSALISTS FOR JUSTICE IN THE MIDDLE EAST
The proposed mission of All Souls UUJME is to study and promote justice, equal rights, peace and civil community in historic Palestine and Israel, and a realistic US aid policy that honors religious and civil liberties, equal rights of all people and itself promotes justice and peace in the area.
THE UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST SERVICE COMMITTEE
The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee supports global programs to empower women, children, and oppressed racial and ethnic groups.
THE UU-UNITED NATIONS OFFICE
UU United Nations Office oversees numerous denominational activities regarding international affairs.
YOUNG ADULTS SERVICE COMMITTEE
The Young Adult Service Committee organizes a variety of volunteer opportunities for the members of All Souls Young Adults. Going forward they will be looking into joint volunteer opportunities with families from All Souls as well.

HEART & SOUL CHARITABLE FUND
The mission of the Heart & Soul Charitable Fund, Inc. is to provide aid to segments of the New York area community who are living in marginalized situations.
FRIDAY SOUP KITCHEN
The All Souls Friday Soup Kitchen serves lunch to 250 guests every Friday to neighbors in economic crisis.
MONDAY NIGHT HOSPITALITY
Monday Night Hospitality provides a hot meal for approximately 300 guests each Monday evening.
Navigators USA helps boys and girls build trust, respect, and self-esteem though adventure activities.
GIRL SCOUT TROOPS
All Souls sponsors, recruits leaders, and operates four Girl Scout troops that meet at the Clinton Community Center (120 E 110th St.) and St. Edward the Martyr Church (14 E 109th St) in East Harlem.
NEW AMSTERDAM BOYS AND GIRLS CHOIR
The purpose of the New Amsterdam Boys & Girls Choir is to enrich the lives of children in the East Harlem community, using choral singing as a catalyst. Discipline, respect and academic success are expected as well as working harmoniously toward common goals.
